Health & Safety Guidelines
1. Stay Home If You’re Unwell
Please only attend rehearsals or events if you feel well.
If you have any symptoms of cold, flu, or other sickness (e.g. cough, sore throat, fever, fatigue), skip that week — we’ll catch you up later.
Your health (and the health of others) comes first: better to rest and join when you’re well.
2. Personal Responsibility
Each singer is responsible for their own health and well-being before, during, and after rehearsals, gigs, and any choir-related events.
Support your health proactively: stay hydrated, rest well, and all the other things you know to keep yourself ready for singing!
3. Follow Volunteer Team Direction
The Soul of the City volunteer team may give instructions during rehearsals, gigs, or any other events (e.g. about spacing, breaks, or emergency procedures).
For everyone’s safety and smooth running of events, please listen carefully and follow their directions promptly.
4. Adaptable Guidelines
These guidelines may change over the course of the term in response to new health advice or choir needs.
Always check for updates (via email / group chat / announcement) before attending rehearsals or events.
5. Choir Culture: Respect, Care & Support
Let’s take care of each other — if you notice someone unwell, gently support them if that feels appropriate.
If you need to miss a rehearsal because of health concerns — no worries, we value your well-being and will keep you in the loop.
Be mindful of personal space and mutual respect during rehearsals and events.
